Transferring your screenshots and video clips from your PlayStation 4 to an external USB storage device is a straightforward process. By following these steps, you can easily save your favorite gaming moments to a USB drive and free up some space on your PS4’s internal storage:

  1. Prepare a USB storage device: First, ensure that your USB drive is formatted in either FAT32 or exFAT file system, as the PlayStation 4 does not support NTFS. Connect the USB drive to one of the available USB ports on your PS4 console.
  2. Turn on your PlayStation 4 console and log in to the user account associated with the screenshots and video clips you want to transfer.
  3. From the main PlayStation 4 home screen, navigate to the top menu bar using the left analog stick or the directional pad on your DualShock 4 controller.
  4. Scroll to the right and select the “Capture Gallery” icon, which looks like a folder or a stack of photos. Press the X button to open the Capture Gallery.
  5. Within the Capture Gallery, you will see a list of games and applications for which you have captured screenshots or recorded video clips. Scroll through the list using the left analog stick or the directional pad and select the desired game or application by pressing the X button.
  6. You will now see a collection of screenshots and video clips associated with the selected game or application. Highlight the desired media file using the left analog stick or the directional pad.
  7. Press the Options button on your DualShock 4 controller to bring up a menu on the right side of the screen. Select “Copy to USB Storage Device” by pressing the X button.
  8. You will be presented with a list of screenshots and video clips from the selected game or application. Check the box next to each file you want to transfer by pressing the X button. To select all files, check the box at the top of the list.
  9. Once you have selected the files you want to transfer, press the “Copy” button at the bottom of the screen. The PlayStation 4 will begin transferring the selected files to your external USB storage device.
  10. When the transfer is complete, a notification will appear on the screen confirming that the process was successful. You can now safely remove your USB storage device from the PS4 console.

By following these steps, you can easily transfer your PlayStation 4 screenshots and video clips to an external USB storage device. This allows you to save your favorite gaming moments and share them with friends or back them up for safekeeping.
